One week from now, I will be on my way up to Northern Michigan to celebrate Christmas with my family. Traditionally, we celebrate back in Detroit, where I grew up. But this year my family is doing something different and I am extremely excited. If you've ever been to Northern Michigan, you know how beautiful it is and how relaxing it can be. For those of you who haven't, I recommend you put it on your bucket list.
Something about being up there brings you out of your comfort zone and into a simpler mid set. In Chicago, I never go on "walks" just for fun. But up north, that is one of my family's favorite things to do. There aren't many restaurants open this time of year, so we love to have big dinners with my extended family. We play tons of games and we make memories that last forever. I am excited to go bowling, go to the movies, and watch all the holiday movies together. It will be nice to get a change of scenery and still be surrounded by the ones I love, just a little further north. Make sure to follow along on Instagram to see how many pairs of pajamas and comfy clothes I can style up there!
I rounded up some of my favorite sweaters that I will be bringing with me over the holiday. Lord knows it'll be cold! Scroll down to see some of my affordable sweater options!
J.Crew is undoubtedly a great place to buy sweaters. But did you know that Nordstrom price matches with J.Crew? These sweaters from the J.Crew store might be the same price, but shipping from Nordstrom is free and a lot faster than the J.Crew store!
Somewhere that I just found to be a great place to buy sweaters is Bloomingdales! Their line, Aqua, has some great options and many of them are currently on sale! I love this cable knit sweater and its under $100.
This super fun holiday sweater doesn't look it's $15 price tag.
Have you ever checked out Everlane's sweaters? I highly recommend looking at their site and their sweater collection. They are all very reasonably priced and adorable. They have a million colors, styles, and fabrics. My current favorite, is this one!
