Fun fact about me: I have a big head. I wear a large in hats and it's often difficult to find hats that fit. So last year, when I came across this Janessa Leone hat on sale, I had to grab it! Janessa Leone is a hat designer from LA, who I have long been obsessed with. Her hats are simple and love the this one that I purchased last year. Janessa's hats are a bit on the pricier side, but they are well made and mine have held up great!
As you can see, this hat I am wearing is a straw hat. It's perfect for summertime because it's light weight and breathable. It was perfect for the beach, farmers market, and lunches al fresco! But now that it is getting cooler out, I want to add a fall hat to my collection. A felt hat in particular is what I am looking for. So after some research and some digging, I found some awesome options at a bunch of different price points. I love these hats with floral dresses, jeans and a sweater, or any layered look!
In my opinion, the outfit in today's post is too summery to wear with a felt hat like this one. I would swap out my light jeans for something darker, like these. I would keep my top on- I think it's definitely a transitional piece. And I would throw on these booties! Since it will get cooler this fall, we want to keep our feet warm, right? Add a cardigan like this, on a leather jacket and you're good to go!
