Today, I have a question for you: Do you buy clothing because you like it or because it's trendy? I am guilty of doing both.
I bought these jeans on sale back in November and have worn them probably 10 times since then. I love Paige Jeans and find that they are the most comfortable out of any pair I've owned. They're on the trendier side, but I find they add something fun and different to an outfit.
I love adding trendy items to my closet to stay current and spruce up my wardrobe. But I'm selective about what trendy pieces I invest in. I think it's more important to create your own style and form your own opinions about fashion. Yves Saint Laurent once said, "Fashions fade, but style is eternal."
When I started my blog, I was afraid I would fail for a variety of reasons. Did I have a unique style? Good taste? Or was I just following trends? And while I agree with YSL to some extent, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you follow current fashion trends or dress to the beat of your own drum. I like what I like and am going to wear what makes me happy and what I feel best in!
These Paige Jeans are a great example. They may be a bit on the trendy side, but they're what I am comfortable in! They are stretchy, cropped and as a plus, the vertical lines make me feel taller and thinner. You can't hate on those things!
