I've shared our wedding journey throughout the past last year, so why not share our wedding day photos! We have the most amazing family and friends who made our day so special and looking back at these photos, it was perfect.
We got married on August 29th, surrounded by 48 guests. The ceremony took place on the front lawn of one of our family friends on Mullett Lake, in Northern Michigan. I wrote a about how we got to this version of the wedding in this post.
To be completely honest, none of it would have happened without my parents and our amazing wedding planner Jean Cote. Four weeks before the big day Joe and I decided to cancel our Chicago wedding (which Jean also planned) and move the wedding to Northern Michigan. As you can imagine, this decision was made because of COVID complications and we thought Northern Michigan would be best for everyone. Thankfully, my parents jumped on the phone and Jean didn't miss a beat! I can't believe we pulled off the wedding we did in that short of time.
Our wedding photos came in a few weeks ago and it's taken me a minute to go through them all. There are SO MANY! It's hard to choose favorites, but these are a few from our day that I love and make me smile. One day, when I have more time and my computer has better memory space, I will break down the day and share some other special moments. For now, enjoy!

One of my favorite special touches we did was the photo cocktail napkins. We had pictures of our parents and grandparents on their wedding night printed on cocktail napkins used at the cocktail hour. It was so special and unique. They were a surprise to the guests and another great idea from our wedding planner, Jean!

We originally ordered the neon "The Welsch's" sign for our wedding in Chicago. We couldn't cancel the order so when we moved the wedding up north, we wanted to incorporate it somehow into the new wedding. It ended up being our "photo booth" and we loved it!

We surprised our bridesmaids and groomsmen with Nike sneakers at the reception and it was another one of my favorite moments!
